Who Lies Beneath the Crown
Waterford Byse is no prince, but when foreign mercenaries slaughter the inhabitants of the royal castle, he vows to become one. Using the weight of a stolen crown, he builds a kingdom of lies, drawing friend and foe alike into his traps.
Patty is no warrior, but she must kill in order to save the life of a child. Through violence, stealth, and the unexpected help of those who should be dead, this cook's apprentice launches a campaign of madness and sabotage against the mercenary invaders. They took everything from her, but she will not let them take the child she protects.
Each step they take brings them closer to their enemies and to each other. They will face fire and death and the horrors of their own actions as they each discover for themselves what lies beneath a crown.

Return to Two Town
This novel is special to me for a few reasons. It's not the first one I've written. It's not even the second, third, fourth, or fifth, but it is one of the firsts I was willing to share with others. It's grown on me over the past two years, starting off as a fun, superpowered mystery before slowly turning into something a bit more personal and important.
It's mostly important to me because the world it's built upon was one I created with a dear friend of mine, a friend who lost his life to Covid. All the weird powers and strange items were born from our long conversations about the wonderful oddities in the worlds of superheroes.
I hope you'll enjoy reading about this world full of old bowling alleys, mystical sweatpants, and mysterious, gas-masked men. It's been a joy to write and I only hope I can share that you with others like you.
